The Hutchinson News reported on its Web site Friday that 30-year-old Stephen W. Jones was convicted in 2004 of attempted aggravated assault. Reno County District Court records show Jones initially had been charged with domestic battery in the case and that he was released from supervision in 2005 after successfully completing probation, the newspaper reported.
