BY KAREN SHIDELER

The Wichita Eagle

Every Woman: Mind, Body, Spirit is the theme for a free women's health conference scheduled for Sept. 27.

The conference is sponsored by Wesley Medical Center and the Urban League of Kansas Guild Auxiliary.

Kathy Neely, who recently was named Wesley's chief nursing officer, is the keynote speaker.

The conference will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 1525 N. Lorraine. A continental breakfast and lunch will be served, and drawings for prizes will be held throughout the day.

Because space is limited, reservations are requested by Monday. Child care will be available, again by registration. For more information or to register, call Lydia Santiago at 316-262-2463.

The conference will have three sessions, with five choices available for each session. Topics include depression, diabetes, nutrition, ovarian cancer, domestic violence and staying active throughout life, among others.

Other sponsors are the American Cancer Society, Child Start, the E.C. Tyree Clinic, Intrust Bank, the Sedgwick County Health Department, United Way of the Plains and Regan Productions.
